🌳
What it captures
A complete chain from applicant to Canadian ancestor; per-person
evidence (birth, marriage, naturalization, military service,
residency); hygiene flags for gaps and conflicts; and a readiness
state that says exactly what's submission-ready and what isn't.
🧩
Why it exists
Genealogy software wasn't built for citizenship-by-descent
submissions. Bill C-3 applicants juggle ten to thirty source
documents per lineage — SUDCAN gives them one file they can share
with family, hand to a lawyer, or one day open in an IRCC tool.
📐
Designed to be portable
SUDCAN is a proprietary format, but the spec is publishable. Family
members, lawyers, and (in the future) IRCC officers should be able to
read these files without needing our software. Your data should always
be yours.
Every Suddenly Canadian and SUDCAN Studio edition reads and writes the
full SUDCAN family. You decide where your files live and who sees them.
